National Rail Passenger Survey

Introduction

We consult over 50,000 passengers a year to produce the National Passenger Survey (NPS) - a network-wide picture of passengers' satisfaction with rail travel. Passenger opinions of train services are collected twice a year from a representative sample of journeys.

Passengers' overall satisfaction and satisfaction with 30 specific aspects of service can, therefore, be compared over time.

The latest survey (Autumn 2012) was published on Tuesday 29 January 2013:

National Passenger Survey - Autumn 2012 - NPS - Main Report

The next survey will be published on 19 June 2013.
